Subject: Euthanasia
As the debate about euthanasia continues, I can't help
but wonder as a society are we losing all sense of priorities?
We are spending billions in our aim to prolong life, create
life, clone life and basically seek to master the laws
of nature.
There is no law with respect to creating life and yet
look at how many lives we see created only to be subjected
to years of abuse and neglect and in some cases even death
at the hands of negligent parents.
Where have our priorities gone? Are we so busy perpetuating
and mastering the power given to us by scientific research
that we have forgotten such basic human needs as the right
to die with dignity and respect.
